![]() ![]() While it may not be the online co-op mode we were hoping for, Fatal Bullet's co-op mode at least offers a reasonable amount of customisation. Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Co-operative Multiplayer Follow her to all the destinations, and you'll be invited back to the room of Sword Art's emo swordsman protagonist, Kirito, who'll take you back into town to show you the various quest desk and shops for the game, in turn unlocking both online competitive, and co-op play. Really early on in the game - almost immediately after the first tutorial - you'll get a massive quest called " Kureha's Lectures", where the pink haired maiden takes you around the Gun Gale Online hub, showing you the sights. If you want to play online, you'll need to unlock it first - but luckily, it's much less of a trudge to get to Fatal Bullet's online features than it was in Sword Art Oniline: Hollow Realization. Which Animal Crossing Character Are You?.How many Harry Potter characters can you name from their PS1 renditions?.I love it, was farming mats on it some weeks ago even.Ĭan't really speak for the other games, though - I only played Hollow Fragment, but the "auto attack until special can come out" system didn't hold me enough to finish it.Play quizzes, win prizes! Test your knowledge with our quizzes, and you could win £/$/€20 of PSN/XBL/eShop/Steam credit! Those two features in a Freedom Wars sequel/remaster would be the dream. But if someone comes to me and say "did you know SAOFB was supposed to be FW2?" I'll believe and cry a lot.įor what is does better, I'd say the crafting and upgrading system is waaay more generous than FW (fuck that RNG-heavy system), and you can have auto-aim during hipshots (think Soldier 76 ult, as it also goes only for bodyshots) at all times. Woah, that's a lot of boxes checked! But it's still a SAO game, which mimics MMOs, instead of a "hunting game", so even though SAOFB has big enemies, they're just big bullet sponges, without the combat nuances of Freedom Wars like breaking parts and pulling the big enemies down with the ibara - FB's hook is only used for mobility and for hitting switches, can't even cling to walls. it's a third person shooter, you have an AI companion, there's farming for gear, and there's a grappling hook. I'd greatly prefer if only LLENN & co were involved (SAOAGGO is great), but at least they're also there.Ībout being similar to Freedom Wars. Story is meh, mostly because you're basically another Kirito friend. I liked Fatal Bullet, it plays nicely and, like the other games, has a ton of content added post launch. Problem is that almost all anime games are still stuck in the low budget cash-in camp like all the movie based games of yesteryear.Īs for what SAO games need? Lets be fair, the only thing people want is an actual MMO (VR or not), they spend so much effort making these fake MMO single player games and then made their own actual MMO (Blue Protocol), I have no idea why they didn't just brand that as an SAO game. ![]() Lost Song played like crap and had a nauseating camera, Hollow Realization was super boring with maps that were full of literally nothing and a poor story, Fatal Bullet was meant to be "your own story" but was instead just "OMG NOW I'M PART OF KIRITO'S HAREM TOO" tacked onto a buggy 3rd person shooter that was worse than Freedom Wars in every way, and from what I hear the latest one runs like absolute garbage. Re:Hollow Realization (the PS4/PC port with the fixed translation) was legitimately decent in terms of gameplay and story, but its roots as a low budget Vita game didn't do it any favours. What style do you all think would benefit Sword Art Online? I usually see it compared with Freedom Wars and I loved Freedom Wars.Īs for the newest release, Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris, I have not heard any good things about that game. ![]() I haven't played Fatal Bullet yet, but I heard good things about it. Gacha games aren't really my thing, even though I'm playing two right now, I'm trying to get away from them. ![]() It was pretty fun though, it was like a side scrolling beat'em up with some really tough boss battles.Īctually.looking at the mobile games, they all look kind of interesting?Įh, I don't know. Sadly, it's a gacha game and an extremely grindy game. Thinking about it some more, the only Sword Art Online game I actually enjoyed was SAO Memory Defrag on mobile. I tried the series again with Hollow Realization after hearing some positive things about it and.I had to drop it due to it being extremely text heavy.Ī lot of the characters just kept talking about uninteresting things. Lost Song seemed kinda cool with the flying aspect but that game didn't grab me either. ![]()
